Bill has over 20 years of experience as an IBM Field Engineer. Mid Range or intermediate systems (1401, 360, 370, 4331, 4381, AS/400) installing hardware, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing. Hardware included a wide variety of peripherals including: Original unit record equipment, systems card readers, punches, printers, tape drives, disk drives, paper tape readers, modem and transmitting devices, terminals, PCs. Bill also worked for four years as a Program Support Rep for IBM DOS (large systems), CICS, and VM. His experience with those systems included install, troubleshoot, and maintenance of above software, on various systems.Bill has worked as a consultant with many large clients including Utah State Retirement, where he was installing system software, performing data collection, tabulation, and display for viewing and research. Worked in a telephone system support role for Packard Bell, performing live troubleshooting of PC systems.
Bill has also worked internationally in Rome Italy, as a financial officer for 200 individuals, providing for accounting and distribution of monthly payments, credit cards, expenditures, using a large Microsoft Access database.
Bill has a wide range of experience with IBM products PC, Mid Range and Large Platforms performing installations, troubleshooting issues, maintaining systems for optimal use and repairing them when needed.
Bill is also a certified FAA Commercial and Private Pilot
Bill enjoys his Amateur Extra Radio License and his experience as an Ambulance Driver, Rescue Squad volunteer and as a Civil Defense Radiation Officer.
