Bill Ball - Bio

Bill BallBill has over 20 years of experience as an IBM Field Engineer. Mid Range or intermediate systems (1401, 360, 370, 4331, 4381, AS/400) installing hardware, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing. Hardware included a wide variety of peripherals including: Original unit record equipment, systems card readers, punches, printers, tape drives, disk drives, paper tape readers, modem and transmitting devices, terminals, PCs. Bill also worked for four years as a Program Support Rep for IBM DOS (large systems), CICS, and VM. His experience with those systems included install, troubleshoot, and maintenance of above software, on various systems.
 
Bill has worked as a consultant with many large clients including Utah State Retirement, where he was installing system software, performing data collection, tabulation, and display for viewing and research. Worked in a telephone system support role for Packard Bell, performing live troubleshooting of PC systems.

Bill has also worked internationally in Rome Italy, as a financial officer for 200 individuals, providing for accounting and distribution of monthly payments, credit cards, expenditures, using a large Microsoft Access database.

Bill has a wide range of experience with IBM products PC, Mid Range and Large Platforms performing installations, troubleshooting issues, maintaining systems for optimal use and repairing them when needed.

Bill is also a certified FAA Commercial and Private Pilot
Bill enjoys his Amateur Extra Radio License and his experience as an Ambulance Driver, Rescue Squad volunteer and as a Civil Defense Radiation Officer.
